If you are on this page then sadly you have probably dropped your phone
somewhere you shouldn't have, it could be in the toilet, bath, pool,
washing machine or any number of places resulting in your phone no
The sooner you can get your phone in for service the better. Minutes,
hours, not days!
Electronic equipment does not like water and unfortunately the
odds are your device will probably no longer work again or if it does it
may behave erratically and
over days/weeks will possibly fail.
That said there are many phones getting around that have taken the
plunge and lived to to take selfies again.
Things to consider? How much of the phone was submerged and for how long.
Good Outcome; if only the bottom of the phone was wet and it was
only in the water for a second then there
is a reasonable chance the phone will survive to see another day
provided it is brought in for service immediately.
Bad Outcome; the phone is dropped in a bath of water or worse
salty water and
submerged for a lengthy period of time 20 seconds or more and it was not
brought in for service until the next day.
A LOT! of time will need to be spent properly drying your phone out and
fault finding problems so there is a $65 wet phone service fee, in the
event your phone can not be saved this fee will only be $35
(no warranty is provided for water damaged phones, if the phone begins
to show signs of erratic behaviour unfortunately the damage is beyond
that which can be repaired. If this occurs we recommend baking up your
data ASAP as it may fail unexpectedly)
Hopefully you will have a good outcome and you will
be one of the many lucky ones.
